This is the day you came for. Start at Karnak Temple, the vast temple of the sun god Amun-Ra, then take your place to watch the total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027. In Luxor, totality lasts about 6 minutes and 23 seconds, one of the longest of the century, as the sky darkens over the temples of ancient Thebes. You can watch from Karnak, the West Bank or the sun deck of a Nile cruise. Afterwards, visit Luxor Temple. Breakfast and lunch are included. Please bring certified eclipse glasses, which are not included.
