Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Luxor to Aswan, High Dam, Philae & Nubian Village
Leave Luxor in the morning for the drive south to Aswan with your English-speaking guide. Visit the High Dam, with sweeping views over Lake Nasser, then take a motorboat to Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis and rescued from the rising Nile in the 1970s. After lunch, cross the river to a Nubian village to see its painted houses and meet local families. Check in to your 4-star hotel in Aswan for the night.
Day 2: Abu Simbel or Felucca, then Return to Luxor
Choose how to spend your second morning. Set off before dawn to see the great temples of Ramesses II and Nefertari at Abu Simbel, or enjoy a relaxed felucca sail around Elephantine Island and the Botanical Garden. Both are optional extras at additional cost. After breakfast and your chosen activity, you are driven back to your hotel in Luxor.
